David Heim is a true American patriot. As an international spy for the Allied Forces during the height of the Cold War, he and his partner rescue more defectors from behind the Iron Curtain than any other agent along the dangerous Hof Corridor, the predicted location of an invasion of Europe by the Soviet Union.

He is a member of the Olympic Bid Committee who brings the 1980 Olympic Games to Lake Placid, then helps organize the most famous sporting event in history, "The Miracle Game," between TEAM USA and the mighty Soviet hockey team. As Executive Director of USA Bobsled he helps create the infamous Jamaican Bobsled Team known around the globe, as a gesture of good faith.

Most of all, David Heim is a man of the world who falls in love, and is willing to forsake it all, fame and fortune, adventure and glory, for the dream of marrying the woman of his dreams and having children with her.
